The security design service helps ensure the security of applications, systems and services through collaborative discussion. Security design helps drive a proactive, systematic approach to security information and systems, rather than relying on after-the-fact reviews and assessments. The process compares the application, system, or service to security best practices, principles, compliance standards, and UVic policy.  Recommendations provided can be related to architecture, design, engineering, implementing, improving, or supporting an application, system, or service.

An Information Security staff member can be added to your project team to ensure involvement in all stages of your project, from project initiation to post go-live.
