UVic is currently licensed to use Adobe products under an Adobe Campus license agreement. This will enable faculty and staff to use the latest versions of licensed Adobe software on UVic-owned computers.

Additionally, students can use Adobe accounts to access software in select computer labs on campus.

Details of the products that are licensed under this agreement can be found in the Help Catalogue

  • Departments
  • Faculty
  • Researchers
  • Staff
  • Students - in select computer labs

How do I request or access this service?

You can sign up for an Adobe ID by logging in with your UVic NetLink ID and passphrase to https://onlineservices.uvic.ca.

For Students, an Adobe ID will allow you to use Adobe software in select computing facilities at UVic or as part of your coursework. We recommend creating your Adobe ID 24 hours before you need to use any software.

For Staff or Faculty, an Adobe ID will allow you to additionally request Adobe software for use on your UVic owned devices. Once you’ve signed up for your Adobe ID at https://onlineservices.uvic.ca please follow the prompts to request software, and the Computer Help Desk will receive your request. We recommend you sign up for and request software 48 hours before it is required.

What is the cost for this service?

This service is currently funded centrally by the University so there is no charge at this time for faculty and staff to use the Adobe software licensed under this agreement.

There are a limited number of total licenses. The current Adobe agreement does not provide coverage for 100% of UVic devices. To ensure licenses are available for those who need them for their UVic related activities, please inform the Computer Help Desk when you no longer require your license.

When is the service available?

This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Availability of services depends on Adobe, an external provider. The status of Adobe services can be viewed at https://status.adobe.com
