Effective 15 hours from now: Network Services will be performing maintenance in DTB-1F on 2025-05-01 starting at 07:30 am.
There may be a brief outage in data, voice, and wireless services at that time.

Load Balancer Software Patching - COMPLETE

Network Services will be applying a minor security patch bundle to the operating system and software code on the production LoadBalancers on April 30th, 2025 starting at 6:00 am.
Active service will move from EDC2 to EDC1 running the patched version. If there are no problems noted then the EDC2 loadbalancer will be patched and active service restored to EDC2.
Only one LoadBalancer is being upgraded at a time and they operate in failover mode so there should be no extended downtime. Some connections to services may be reset requiring the user to re-enter credentials when active service is moved between data centers.
This informed will be updated after the change is complete.
Any problems encountered should be directed to netadmin@uvic.ca.

Oracle Database Patching - 05/01 6 PM

Effective 1 day from now: Thursday night, starting at 6pm, we will be patching the Oracle databases. This work should be transparent to end users with no outages expected.
