NETS: Switch firmware upgrade CLE

Effective 22 hours ago: Good afternoon,

Network services will be upgrading firmware on several switches in the Clearihue building on Monday morning, July 16, at 06:00. The affected areas, CLE B-100, C-200, and B-300 levels, will experience a voice, data, and wireless outage at this time while the switches reboot. Full service is expected to be restored by 06:15. If there are any questions or concerns regarding this outage, please voice them to netadmin@uvic.ca.

Network services will be upgrading firmware on several switches in CARSA on Tuesday morning, July 17, at 05:00. The affected areas will experience a voice, data, and wireless outage at this time while the switches reboot. Full service is expected to be restored by 05:15. If there are any questions or concerns regarding this outage, please voice them to netadmin@uvic.ca.


July 22- Planned outage of campus internet

Effective 5 days from now: On Sunday, July 22, all campus internet access will be interrupted for scheduled maintenance from 6:00AM to 10:00AM. All online services hosted at UVic will be inaccessible from off campus during this window.
CourseSpaces will only be accessible from on campus during this time.
