NETS: Anyconnect VPN Client becoming Secure Client - July 29 2024

Effective date: July 29, 2024 at 01:00:00 pm(2 days from now)
Effective 2 days from now: Network services will be upgrading the Cisco Anyconnect VPN Client from 4.10 to 5.1, which is renamed to Cisco Secure Client. This ugprade will be for Windows, Linux and Mac.
The interface coloring and icons look slightly different but all functionality remains the same, usage does not change. Managed systems will be updated automatically, unmanaged systems will download the new version upon their next VPN login with the existing Anyconnect client.
The upgrade will be applied at 6 AM on July 29, 2024.

StudentWeb Host Migration

Call Manager (Voice Services) Upgrade

Effective date: July 28, 2024 at 12:00:00 pm(1 day from now)
Effective 1 day from now: Network Services will be performing software and operating system upgrades on the Call Manager Servers, which are responsible for Voice Services at the University, on Sunday July 28, 2024 starting at 5:00am.
There is a cluster of five servers and only one server will be upgraded and restarted at a time to minimize client disruption. Some phones will download new firmware and restart during this upgrade.
Any issues from this change should be reported to netadmin@uvic.ca.
