Effective 1 day ago: ** Update Jan 21, 2017:

Investigation has revealed that the current Windows 10 1607 anniversary update is not compatible with Windows 10 Education. University Systems staff have opened a support case with Microsoft and they are currently investigating.

To prevent computers form trying to run the update Windows 10 1607 again and failing, all computers that are supported by University Systems Desktop Support Services will have the Windows update settings re-configured to prevent the update from running again. This will prevent the update from interrupting clients until we have a permanent solution to the problem from Microsoft.

Manager, Desktop Support Services

=========================

University Systems is currently investigating reports of Windows 10 computers failing to install windows updates. After failing to install updates, the workstation will report that BitLocker is suspended and you may be prompted to encrypt your hard drive.

We are investigating the cause of this issue and will provide an update when a solution has been found.
