Coaching skills
- apply individual and team development strategies
- use ethical practices in coaching and sport development
- document and assess outcomes to inform future actions
- identify credible sources of information and adapt findings to inform coaching practice
- teach athletes the importance of skill acquisition, performance and biomechanics
- teach athletes about periodization and sport psychology
- communicate about standards of practice with professionals to advance the field
Technical skills
- apply the principles of motor skill acquisition
- choose appropriate athlete development techniques and explain the rationale for your choices
- develop and use needs assessments that support sport and athlete development
