UVic offers a range of career support programs to help you find a job you love.
Your Career Starts Here
Your Career Starts Here is a free online course for undergraduate students who want to graduate career-ready and discover their true potential. You'll explore:
- what you love,
- what you're great at,
- what the world needs, and
- what you can be paid for
The course is organized into five brief modules that you'll complete at your own pace. The activities will help you align your interests and strengths with meaningful career opportunities. Whether you're just starting to think about your future or already have a direction in mind, this course will guide you in building a personalized career journey plan and putting it into action.
Please note that this course is for current UVic undergraduate students only. Courses for graduate students and alumni are coming soon!

WACE Global Challenge
Want to solve a real-world business problem for a global company, all from your computer?
You can take part in the WACE Global Challenge, where you'll work on a 4-week, online project with a multidisciplinary team of students from around the world.
The next challenge and cohort will run from Monday, November 10 to Sunday, December 7, 2025. In the first week, you'll complete a mandatory virtual orientation session, a cultural intelligence workshop and a client briefing, then work with your team and present your work in the final week!
This opportunity is made possible through a partnership between UVic, the World Association of Cooperative Education (WACE) and EdTech Practera.

Mock MMIs
Mock Multiple Mini Interviews are practice interview, coaching and feedback sessions designed to help you prepare for the medical school application process.
These group sessions include a mock interview and feedback/coaching. Check back in late November 2025 for the next Mock MMI dates!
