Sexualized violence

We all have the right to live, learn and work in a safe and inclusive environment free from sexualized violence. Creating this kind of environment begins with having conversations about how to practice respect and consent in our daily lives.

UVic defines sexualized violence as any non-consensual, unwanted, actual, attempted, or threatened act or behaviour that is carried out through sexual means or by targeting a person’s sex, sexual identity, or gender identity or expression.
