Degree evaluation reports

Your degree evaluation report lets you track your academic progress and degree requirements. Once you’ve declared your program, you can access your report from Online tools.

UVic is transitioning from our existing Curriculum, Advising and Program Planning (CAPP) system to a new one called Degree Works. The change will take place over a few years, allowing students already in the CAPP system to continue using it while new students start in Degree Works.

Undergraduate students

In most cases, your reporting system depends on when your program is declared.

  • If you declare your program before May 2026, you'll use CAPP.
  • If you declare your program in or after May 2026, you'll use Degree Works.

This ensures that the introduction of Degree Works won't unintentionally impact the program requirements and graduation eligibility of upper-year students.

Graduate students

Current graduate students use the CAPP system. UVic plans to implement Degree Works for new graduate students later in 2026.
