University Systems maintains enterprise-level database and application server environments. Members of the university community may request a database on shared MySQL or PostgreSQL environments to run custom applications or websites. Dedicated Microsoft SQL or Oracle databases can be supported based upon client or software requirements. This support includes system updates & security patches, proactive monitoring & response, and regular backups.

What is the cost for this service?

This service is typically provided on an annual basis at a rate of $75 per month for dedicated databases. The service is provided free of charge to clients using a shared database environment.

When is this service available?

Support services are available Monday - Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm excluding statutory holidays. Some systems maintenance can be arranged to be done outside normal business hours.

Other information

Clients will be asked to sign a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with University Systems which further defines the terms and conditions of this service.
