Student computing facilities

There are four University Systems computing facilities available on the UVic campus: ClearCF, which is located in the A-wing of the Clearihue Building; SCFBEC, which is located in room 165 of the Business and Economics Building; SCFHSD, which is located in room A131 of the Human & Social Development Building; and the Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Facility, which is located in room A051 of the Clearihue Building. These computer labs have Mac and PC computers and offer a variety of software.

Who can use this service?

All guests to the university, including conference attendees, may pay an access fee to use the computing facilities.

How do I request or access this service?

Labs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Current students can login to lab computers with a valid NetLink ID. Visit the Computing facilities: Bookings to book a lab.

What is the cost for this service?

Computer and scanner use is provided free of charge to active students. Guests to the university can use the facilities for a fee; visit Guest computing access for details. There is no room booking charge for academic or administrative departments, although an hourly fee applies to Continuing Studies department bookings.
