Hardware repair

Hardware-certified consultants at the Computer Help Desk can assist with user-installable hardware, such as hard drives and RAM. For hardware repairs not supported by on-campus staff, you will have to contact your computer's manufacturer. Faculty and staff who subscribe to Deskside Computer Support should contact their support personnel for hardware repairs.

How do I request or access this service?

Drop your hardware off at the Computer Help Desk, located in the Clearihue building, room A004. If your department has Deskside Computer Support, contact your personnel.

What is the cost for this service?

In general, hardware service is available at a rate of $50/hr for students and $75/hr for faculty and staff. For detailed charging details, please see the Service Centre website.

When is this service available?

The Computer Help Desk is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
