The following policies govern the use of University Information Resources and apply to all staff, faculty, students, and third-parties who access University Information and Information Systems.

Information Security Policy

The purpose of Information Security Policy is to define authorities, responsibilities, and accountabilities for Information Resources and Information Systems security.

Responsible Use of Information Technology Services Policy

Information technology services at UVic are intended primarily to serve the educational, research, and administrative purposes of the University. The Acceptable Use of Electronic Information Resources Policy outlines the policies pertaining to information technology services and to the resources these technologies make available in support of the University mission.
