Student Computing Facilities

We provide computing resources and assistance to UVic students, staff, and faculty with four computing facilities on campus.

Responsibilities and resources

The University of Victoria student computing facilities provide computer classrooms, software, resources, and assistance to students, staff, and faculty. Windows and Macintosh computers, as well as friendly and capable staff, are available in all the facilities. We provide the following resources:

  • Drop-in computing facilities (Mac and Windows)
  • Printing and duplicating services
  • Wide variety of business, research, Internet, statistics, design, and multimedia applications
  • Internal course bookings
  • External event bookings

For detailed information, visit the Computing facilities website.

Lab staff

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are available in all lab locations. Staff can help you with specific tasks that you need to complete using the software and hardware we provide in the facilities. We do not provide general software tutorials but will redirect you to other resources to learn new software. Staff are also not able to help you with your assignments and will instead redirect you to your instructor or TA.
