Daily campus tours

Sign up for a campus tour to learn about the services UVic offers for students and see some of our favourite spots on campus. Tours are led by UVic students who love to share their personal experiences with visitors!

  • Tours are available from Monday through Saturday, starting at 1:00 p.m., and are not offered on Sundays or statutory holidays. Additional tours may be offered at times of high demand (e.g. spring break)
  • Tours are approximately 90 minutes in length, and typically include a look inside one of our residence rooms (subject to availability).
  • All tours begin at the UVic Welcome Centre, located on the main floor of the University Centre.

Most campus tours include an opportunity to speak with a UVic recruiter about academic programs and admission requirements (subject to the availability of a recruiter). These information sessions are an additional 15-30 minutes on top of the 90-minute walking tour.

COVID-19 update

Campus tours have been cancelled through June 2020. Registration remains open for tours in July 2020, but future tours may be cancelled. Tour participants will be notified by email if and when tours are cancelled.

Register for a tour up to three months in advance. Online registration closes one hour before the tour starts, or when capacity is reached.

Directions and parking

We recommend parking in one of the following locations, all less than a five-minute walk from the Welcome Centre.

Pay parking is in effect from Monday-Saturday. Permit dispensers are located in all parking lots, and accept coins, MasterCard and VISA.
