Getting to Victoria

The University of Victoria is located in Victoria, British Columbia (the westernmost province of Canada). Victoria is situated on the southern tip of Vancouver Island.

Since there is no fixed connection from the island to mainland BC, Victoria is only accessible via passenger/vehicle ferry or air.

By sea

  • Regularly scheduled ferry service from Vancouver and Washington state.

By air

  • Victoria International Airport serves flights from Vancouver, Seattle, and many other locations.
  • Float planes connect with Seattle and Vancouver.

By ground

New facilities

Construction on the Continuing Studies Building addition project is underway. The project will provide expanded space for the English Language Centre's Pathways Program for international students, as well as other programs. The project design will complement the existing building while increasing its size by approximately 50 per cent. For more information, visit the Campus Planning Current Projects website.
