Be transparent

To be open, honest and straight-forward in your approach. This does not require sharing confidential information but rather providing clarity around your intentions and goals.

Example for colleagues

Explain to a colleague your motivation for arguing for one approach over another. Provide insight into why ‘your’ approach is so important to you.

Example for those who lead

When someone brings forward a concern, tell them how you are going to attempt to address the concern, who you are going to consult with on next steps and how you plan to advise them on next steps.
