Be courageous

To take principled action in the face of discomfort. Have conversations and engage in dialogue where you take on challenging and potentially uncomfortable topics with the goal of advancing collective work, build stronger understanding and connections.

Example for colleagues

Despite feeling uncomfortable, reach out to a colleague with whom you disagree to better understand them and discuss how you might work more easily together.

Example for those who lead

Learn to intervene in and manage conflict when it first appears rather than avoiding it and allowing it to grow and fester.
