Sustainable Development Goals at UVic

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a priority at the University of Victoria. At their core, the SDGs are about ending poverty and inequality and providing opportunity and support for all.

Kevin Hall

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a call to action to protect our planet while promoting prosperity for everyone, everywhere. At UVic we care deeply about these goals and are committed to driving the critical social, economic and environmental change needed to reach them.

UVic's work to advance SDG priorities are centred around four key areas of the university:

  • Education & student experience
  • Research
  • Operations & Community
  • Policy & policy making

Our 2022 report on UVic's SDG impact will be available soon
