Sustainable Development Goals at UVic
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a priority at the University of Victoria. At their core, the SDGs are about ending poverty and inequality and providing opportunity and support for all.
This commitment is present in our new Strategic Plan, Climate and Sustainability Action Plan, Research Strategy: Aspiration 2030, Community Engagement Initiative and the new UN accredited Training Centre: CIFAL Victoria.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a call to action to protect our planet while promoting prosperity for everyone, everywhere. At UVic we care deeply about these goals and are committed to driving the critical social, economic and environmental change needed to reach them.
By clicking on each of the following icons, you will learn how the UVic community worked to advance SDGs over the past year, centred around four key areas of the university:
- Education & student experience
- Research
- Operations & community
- Policy & policy-making
