Be empathetic

To try and understand or imagine what it's like to be in another person’s situation and why someone else might be behaving in a certain way.

Example for colleagues

During a disagreement, you put your immediate thoughts and feelings aside to carefully consider what your colleague is saying before responding.

Example for those who lead

When asking your team a question, wait to hear all their opinions and reflect on what you have heard before you contribute your own thoughts on the subject.
