Community engagement, collaborations and partnerships
The Scarborough Charter Steering Committee along with the Advisor, Black Inclusion Initiatives (EQHR) works to increase engagement and continues to connect and nurture mutually beneficial collaborations and partnerships with Black communities on campus and off campus. We have working relationships with groups listed below.
On campus:
- Students of Colour Collective
- African and Caribbean Students’ Association
- Black Law Students’ Association
- UVic’s Black Admissions in Law program
- Black Grad Mentorship Program
- University of Victoria’s Black Professors and Academics
Off campus:
Engagements, collaborations, and partnerships have resulted in presentations, workshops, resource development, knowledge sharing, and strengthened relationships. Collaborations and partnerships enable us to advance our commitments and strengthen connections between the university with surrounding communities. This list is growing year by year.
