Course outlines tool (updated May 21, 2026) - UVic's new course outlines management tool is now available to all units.
UVic appoints new Dean of Business (May 13, 2026) - Dr. Bruno Silvestre will join UVic on Sept. 1, 2026 to serve a five-year term as Dean, Peter B. Gustavson School of Business.
Co-op and career leadership transition (March 31, 2026) - Karima Ramji has been appointed Executive Director, Co-op and Career Services, effective July 1, 2026.
Dean of Graduate Studies reappointed (Feb. 26, 2026) - Dr. Robin Hicks has been reappointed for a second term as Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Core Writing and Research Requirement (updated Feb. 12, 2026) - A working group is reviewing UVic's Academic Writing Requirement to ensure it meets the evolving needs of students.
John Horgan Campus (updated Feb. 2, 2026) - UVic is offering new programming at the John Horgan Campus in Langford, which opened September 2025.
Academic Accommodations (updated Jan. 30, 2025) - UVic remains committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming learning environment to support students with disabilities.
Budget model review (updated Nov. 6, 2025) - UVic is revising our budget model to better align with our values, principles and priorities.
Funding faculty accessibility strategies (Aug. 27, 2025) - VPAC is allocating $450,000 to support faculties with academic accommodations in 2025/26.
