President's Chairs
Created to further UVic's strategic goals, the President’s Chair is the highest academic honour UVic can bestow on a faculty member. A limited number of President’s Chair positions are awarded to recognize faculty who achieve great distinction in research and research-inspired teaching; made substantial contributions to UVic and the wider community; and are capable of championing excellence in research and teaching.

- Dr. Bruce Wallace, Faculty of Human and Social Development (2022–2027)
- Dr. Pooja Parmar, Faculty of Law (2023–2028)
- Dr. Lisa Kealohapaʻaokahaleole Hall, Faculty of Humanities (2023–2028)
- Dr. Natalie Ban, Faculty of Social Sciences (2023–2028)
- Dr. Nancy Clark, Faculty of Human and Social Development (2023–2028)
- Dr. Lin Cai, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (2025–2030)
Funding is provided for a five-year period, but the title of President's Chair may be held for as long as the recipient is meeting/has met the expectations of the Chair role, is a faculty member or professor emeritus, and remains in good standing with the university.
