About VPAC

Our office is responsible for setting the strategic direction and academic priorities of the university and leading UVic's integrated planning process. Positions reporting to the vice-president include three associate vice-presidents, eleven deans, the university librarian, head of division of medical sciences, executive director of co-op education and career services, executive director of academic resource planning and director of faculty relations.

Core Unit

The Office of the Vice-President Academic and Provost (VPAC) is responsible for setting the academic priorities of the university and leading UVic's integrated planning process.

Academic Planning and Programs Unit

Academic planning and Programs unit works to ensure the quality of current and future academic programs. The unit is also responsible for the enhanced planning tools initiative.

Faculty Relations and Academic Administration Unit

Faculty and librarian relations are delivered through the coordinated efforts of the VPAC office and academic administrators.
