Explore UVic 2024 a resounding success

The Explore UVic event on November 30, 2024 was the UVic Student Recruitment team’s largest event ever. We welcomed high school students, transfer students, onshore international students, and their families from across North America. More than 2,100 people came to our campus on a single day, a 9 per cent jump in total attendance from the previous year. 

This event is critical to our success in attracting students to the university. Through recruitment presentations, student panels, sample lectures, information fairs, and campus tours, students and their parents experienced UVic to the fullest.  

Most importantly, attendees gained a firsthand appreciation for not only UVic’s world-class learning and living spaces, but our welcoming, supportive and inclusive campus community.  

Special thanks to the Student Recruitment team and to every faculty for participating in this event, along with Residence Services, Food Services, the Bookstore, Cooperative Education and Career Services, the First Peoples House, Academic Writing Requirement, the Library, the Centre for Accessible Learning, Academic Advising, the International Centre for Students, Student Awards and Financial Aid, Undergraduate Admissions, Student Wellness Centre, and Vikes Athletics & Recreation.
