Responding to climate change is the world's most urgent problem. Learn the foundations of climate science to translate climate information into actionable practice. You'll graduate ready to help local, national, and international communities and businesses identify climate risks, and create strategies to solve them.
This is the first program on North America's West Coast to receive UN accreditation for delivering UN sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Admission
Apply to the Faculty of Science (Undeclared) or the Faculty of Social Sciences (Undeclared) as a high school student or a transfer student from another post-secondary institution.
You can declare this program as your major after one or more years of full-time study.
English language proficiency
You must demonstrate English language proficiency to attend UVic. Your transcripts are enough to prove proficiency if you've studied full-time in an academic program at the high school or post-secondary level within Canada for at least four years, and all of your instruction was in English.
