Special and Inclusive Education

Our special and inclusive education programs are designed for educators studying part-time. Completing the certificate and diploma enhances your ability to work with young people with specialized learning needs, and meets the requirements for upgrading your level in BC's Teacher Qualification Service.

Certificate program

The Professional Specialization Certificate in Special and Inclusive Education is a professional program for educators who wish to enhance their ability to accommodate every young person with a specialized learning need within their classroom every day.

Diploma program

Our Diploma in Special and Inclusive Education is designed for working professionals. All courses are offered online on a part-time schedule and feature coursework in the advanced intervention of specific learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, behaviour problems, assistive technologies, and inclusive education.

Applicants to the diploma progam must first complete the certificate program.
