Doing TA Work Online Webinar Series certificate (non-credit)

To be awarded a Doing TA Work Online Webinar Series certificate (non-credit) by the Division of Learning and Teaching Support and Innovation (LTSI), you are required to complete the following:

  1. Attend six workshops

Attend at least six distinct workshops within the “Doing TA Work Online Webinar Series” offered virtually through the LTSI. The six workshops must be completed before August 31, 2020 and are not transferable to the following year.

Pre-registration is required for the workshops. If you do not attend, your name will be removed from the registration system.

When you sign into our registration page with your NetLink ID, you will be able to view the number of workshops you have or will be attending.

  1. Submit a reflective essay

Submit a two-three page reflective essay about the workshops that answers the following questions:

  • What were the most significant thing(s) you learned? Provide three specific examples.
  • From what you learned, what did you use immediately or will use in the future in your role as an academic professional?

Make sure your name, department and email address is on your essay. It must be in essay form with proper spelling and grammar, in 12 pt. Times New Roman font, double-spaced.

Application process and deadline

Deadline to apply is August 31.

You are responsible for monitoring your progression towards attaining the certificate. When you have reached six workshops, complete the reflective essay and submit it to the LTSI Administrative Assistant. Once we've received this, we will check to make sure you have completed the required number of workshops and have answered the questions above in your reflective writing piece. If your submission meets the criteria stipulated above, we will issue the Doing TA Work Online Webinar Series certificate (non-credit) to you.

If you have any questions about registration, please contact the TA Coordinator.
