Dissertation phases
Your dissertation is completed in 2 phases: the proposal and the dissertation itself.
Proposals are done in 2 steps:
- You'll present a written document outlining the content of the proposed dissertation to your supervisory committee.
- You'll present and defend your proposal before the supervisory committee.
You'll then write your dissertation according to the standards of the university and the research standards of the wider scientific community. As a final step, you'll defend your dissertation through an oral examination in front of an examining committee.
Co-operative education & work terms
Co-operative education is an optional addition to the kinesiology PhD program. If you have questions alternating your coursework with paid work terms, please contact the program's co-operative education coordinator.
