Master of Arts in Physical Education

In the Master of Arts (MA) Physical Education Program, you'll learn the skills you need to help others stay active and healthy. The program will further develop your teaching skills in public or private schools at the K-12 levels and help you take your passion for healthy and active living to another level.

Courses & program structure

As part of the MA program, you will examine physical activity and health from a variety of angles, including physiology, psychology and neuroscience and contexts including schools and communities. You will also take courses in research methods to prepare you to write and defend your thesis.

Co-operative education & work terms

Co-operative education is an optional addition to the MA program. Co-op lets you try out career options and gain valuable paid work experience before graduation.
