Project Management Services has identified four project principles through engagement sessions with the Faculty of Engineering, the campus community and stakeholders in the project.  The engineering expansion aims to be:

  • A steward of shared resources, where materials are used responsibly and are sourced locally.
  • Responsive to living systems, a structure that respects the natural systems connected to the engineering neighborhood.
  • An incubator of knowledge, where the expansion will create a collaborative atmosphere for the Faculty of Engineering.
  • Adaptable to change, a project that evolves with time in an ever-changing environment.

The Engineering Expansion Project aims to represent the future goals of the Faculty of Engineering as well as establish a new home for the department.  The new structures will allow students and staff to demonstrate their work while providing space for the future of the University’s programs.  This evolution will be carried out in a facility that fosters safety, security and comfort designed to accommodate the needs of the department’s diverse members.
