Study the cultures, histories, current events, literature, film and languages of Slavic countries. You’ll take courses in Russian, Ukrainian and East European studies while developing language skills, exploring new world views and learning how this region connects to global politics, culture, migration, security and identity.

You can explore topics like Russian language, Ukrainian culture, the history of the Soviet Union, Russian popular culture, folklore, literature, film and fairy tales. You’ll also have opportunities to study or work abroad through approved international experiences.

You’ll explore Slavic languages and cultures from many angles, including literature, film, folklore, politics, history and popular culture. Courses help you understand how people, stories and events from Russia, Ukraine and Eastern Europe shape the world today.
