Admission
The Camosun/UVic Nursing program is only open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Current high school students must be attending school in BC or Yukon. Students are dually admitted into UVic and Camosun College.
UVic's college/university transfer program accepts transfer students from the nursing programs offered by Aurora College, College of the Rockies and Selkirk College.
Camosun/UVic Nursing program
UVic offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in partnership with Camosun College in Victoria. Students study at Camosun for the first 2.5 years and at UVic for the final 1.5 years.
To apply to this program, you must have Canadian citizenship or permanent residency and be one of the following:
- a current high school student in BC or Yukon
- a high school graduate
- a college or university student.
College/university transfer program
UVic accepts transfer students from the nursing programs offered by Aurora College, College of the Rockies and Selkirk College. Students study at one of these colleges for 2.5 years and apply to UVic for the final 1.5 years.
As you progress through the program, your college will prepare you to meet our admission requirements and guide you through the process of transferring to UVic.

English language proficiency
You must demonstrate English language proficiency to attend UVic. Your transcripts are enough to prove proficiency if you've studied full-time in an academic program at the high school or post-secondary level within Canada for at least four years, and all of your instruction was in English.
