Fines

**As of September 3rd, 2024, UVic Libraries will no longer be assessing overdue fines for regular loans.**

Recalled items, Interlibrary loans, media equipment, and short term loans (such as Reserve items) are still subject to overdue fines.

Due dates may change based on renewals and recall requests. Items not returned or renewed by the due date/time are subject to overdue fines or replacement charges.

  • Borrowing is blocked when fines or charges reach $20.00 or more.
  • Borrowing privileges may be reinstated when outstanding charges are paid.

Stay on top of your items and due dates with My Library Account to avoid library fines.
