Faculty tours and events

What are UVic faculty tours and events?

Faculty tours and events let you explore UVic’s academic spaces in person. You’ll visit classrooms, labs and studios, meet faculty and staff, and discover how each program connects classroom learning with real-world experience. See the full schedule of faculty tours and events below.

Why should I join a faculty tour at Explore UVic?

Joining a faculty tour helps you picture your future at UVic. You’ll see where you’ll learn, meet professors and current students, and get firsthand insight into what studying your program is really like.

Can I visit more than one faculty?

Yes. You can attend multiple tours and events to explore different faculties, compare learning environments, and discover which programs and spaces feel like the best fit for your interests and goals.

What will I learn during a faculty tour?

You’ll learn what makes each program unique—like hands-on labs, co-op opportunities and small class sizes—and how UVic helps you build skills, confidence and community throughout your degree.

Saturday, November 29, 2025

All faculty activities are scheduled in Pacific Time.

Island Medical Program

Did you know you could go to medical school on Vancouver Island? Thanks to a partnership between UBC, UVic and Island Health, the Island Medical Program delivers the UBC MD undergraduate program right here at UVic. Island Medical Program students receive the same world-class education as UBC medical students, but in a smaller class and with access to clinical experiences across Vancouver Island. Our close-knit cohorts also take part in plenty of hands-on learning, extracurricular and research opportunities, and mentorships with people working in our region’s medical community.
