About

I am passionate about creating spaces where everyone feels safe enough to participate fully and freely. I believe community grows when people are invited not only to attend, but to bring their whole selves and take part. Through my own experiences of homesickness and loss, I have discovered how food connects us to land, culture, community, memory, and ancestors. After more than 30 years in congregational ministry, much of my work now happens in a different kind of sanctuary: the kitchen—a place where people from many backgrounds can gather, share stories, and feel at home. When I am not cooking, you will likely find me playing pickleball or running around UVic.
