Healthy Living

Safer Cannabis Use

The University is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all students, employees, and visitors. The Office of Student Life website provides details about cannabis use on campus, as well as safety and harm-reduction information, and provides answers to frequently asked questions. UVic's Occupational Health, Safety & Environment website provides information primarily for UVic employees on the expectations around cannabis and the workplace.

The University of Victoria follows provincial and municipal legislation in regard to cannabis use, and has added designated cannabis smoking benches on campus. The designated cannabis smoking areas are shown on this map.
