How to apply

Before applying, ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements and review the Family Housing Agreement to understand your responsibilities as a member of the community. Make sure you have your NetLink ID and an active email address. You will need to pay the non-refundable $50 application fee by credit or debit card.

You can submit your application at any time during the year and will be notified as soon as a unit becomes available. We recommend that you apply as soon as possible prior to your desired occupancy date to increase your chances of success.

Waitlist

Your application will remain active for a maximum of two years. Within those two years, and subject to availability, you may receive a maximum of two offers. If both offers are declined, your application will be cancelled.

Family Housing applications that are inactive will be cancelled. Applications may be considered inactive if:

  • An applicant is not enrolled at UVic after their requested arrival date, or
  • An applicant does not respond to emails regarding their enrolment status and/or requests to update their Family Housing application details.
