Printing, copying & scanning

We offer a variety of options for printing, copying and scanning personal and library materials. Anyone who has a Netlink ID can use these services.

Alumni and community visitors can borrow a temporary Netlink ID from the Ask Us Desk and use our public computers to print.

Printing

Letter-size printing (8.5''×11'') is available on black-and-white and colour printers. There are printing stations on the lower level, the main floor and in the Digital Scholarship Commons on the third floor.

Legal-size printing (8.5''×14'') available at the printing station at the back of the main floor. Legal-size printing is also available in the Diana M. Priestly Library.

A large format printer is available in the Digital Scholarship Commons on the third floor. This printer uses low quality paper that is suitable for drafts or prototypes. Prints will be 36'' wide and available in custom lengths. Use our large format printing form to request a print.

Microform printing is available in the Microforms Room on the lower level of the library.

Visit Zap Copy in the SUB or Blink in the UVic Bookstore for additional printing services.

Copying

Black-and-white photocopying is available on letter-size paper. Colour photocopying is only available on legal-size paper.

There are photocopiers on the main floor and in Special Collections on the lower level. Learn more about Special Collections copy services.

Scanning

Scanners are available on the main floor, second floor and third floor, as well as in Special Collections on the lower level. Learn more about Special Collections scanning services.

Use our scanners at the back of the main floor to scan on a higher quality for film or more detailed items.

The scanners do not connect to personal laptops. You will need to use a workstation located next to a scanner.

Contact for information about archival or microfilm scanning.

Priestly Library

The Diana M. Priestly Library offers printing in black-and-white and colour on letter-size or legal-size paper. The printing station is on the main floor.

There is one scanner available on the main floor free of charge.
