Exeter began its life as a Roman military base in 50 AD and visitors can still see the remains of the Roman wall throughout the city. Today Exeter is a vibrant community which offers a choice of cafes, restaurants, pubs and modern shops which mix easily with historic buildings, including the Cathedral, consecrated in 1133 and rebuilt in the late medieval period.

Awards and Funding
- The Haventree Bank Scholarship is open to exchange students from Canadian partner universities studying Computer Science OR at least 50% of their modules at the University of Exeter Business School (includes economics courses).

- This award is valued at £3000 for single semester exchanges and £6000 for full year exchanges.
