About Joey
Hi! My name is Joey, and I am so happy to be back home in Victoria! After moving away for a few years, it feels so good to be back on the Island. There really is no place like it.
I'm also a recent university graduate, and wow, did I have an incredible time! I'm so excited to now work with you as you navigate this exciting time in your life. Choosing a university is a big decision, and I’m here to help answer any questions you may have and help you explore whether UVic could be the right fit for you.
My advice to future university students
Join everything! Okay, maybe not everything. But university is the perfect time to explore new interests and meet new people. My favourite moments from university came from the clubs I joined, the intramural teams I played on, and the on-campus jobs I worked at.
Through those communities, I met some of my favourite people, gained valuable skills and got to try new hobbies that I never thought I would ... like surfing! So, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. You never know what you might discover or who you might meet.
