Our current research
Research in Environmental Studies addresses a wide range of environmental questions, from ecological change and conservation to the social, political, and cultural dimensions of human–environment relationships.
Our current researchers have diverse focuses including understanding changes to lands and waters over time, coastal justice, watershed sustainability, ecogastronomy, restoration and stewardship of land and water systems, wildlife and biodiversity conservation, political ecology and ecological thought and connection between people and their environments over time. This work takes place across local, regional and international contexts in collaboration with partners.
