Notice to researchers

Special Collections & University Archives will continue to provide reprographic services, instruction support, virtual research consultations, and institutional records reference.  The reading room is closed for the Fall 2020 term.

To request an online class, please email us at least one month in advance at: archives@uvic.ca.

At this time, donations of print and archival materials are suspended. Please do not bring donations of gifts-in-kind to UVic Libraries or other campus locations.

University of Victoria Archives preserves and provides access to UVic historical records; private archives of people and organizations relating to the UVic community; and primary sources on anarchist studies, arts and culture, environmental studies, literary history and criticism, political and historical affairs, transgender studies, and women's studies.

UVic Archives also operates the Records Management Program of the university, and works closely with the Office of the University Secretary on access and privacy matters.
