PaperCut transition to ONECard

Effective 1 day from now: The PaperCut printing service will be transitioned over to use funds from your ONECard Flex account. The balance of your PaperCut printing account will automatically be transferred to your ONECard Flex account. For more information on this change please visit http://www.uvic.ca/systems/status/notices/current/papercut-to-onecard.php

There will be up to a 3 hour outage of all PaperCut printing services during this transition.

Outage of Power Distribution Cabinet (PDC) 1A in EDC2

Power has been restored to PDC 1A.

We will be adding additional capacity to PDC 1A; this will require an outage of PDC 1A on Tue July 25th.

- Tue July 25th 7:30am - PDC 1A goes down
- Tue July 25th 5:00pm - PDC 1A back up

We are taking preventative steps so there are no impacts on services during this outage window.

Oracle Maintenance for CLASS and Blackboard

Completed: NETDRIVE Maintenance: Tuesday @ 10:00PM

Effective 7 hours ago: UPDATE2: The maintenance has been completed.

UPDATE1: NETDRIVE patching is being postponed until Tuesday evening at 10:00pm.

We will be performing routine maintenance on NETDRIVE beginning at 10:00pm on Tuesday, July 25/17. The work should be completed by Midnight.

During the maintenance window, the server will be restarted. Therefore, the following services will be interrupted:

- all Windows shares beginning with \netdrive
- all Windows shares beginning with \uvicstorage
- all MacOS volumes shared from netdrive.uvic.ca

You should save any work in progress and disconnect from the services above prior to 10:00pm. If you can't disconnect, please save your work often to minimize the possibility of losing work in progress.

If you have any questions or concerns about this maintenance, please contact one of the University Systems Help Desks.

Identity IQ Upgrade

There is an Identity IQ upgrade taking place at 6:30AM on July 25th. This upgrade will cause an outage for Identity ID and NetLink for a 30 minute window. This informed message will be updated once both services have been brought back online.
