NETS: Wireless system reboot for new certificates - 7:00 AM Oct 23 2019

Effective 1 day from now: Network services will be rebooting the wireless system to complete installation of new guest wireless certificates at 7:00 AM on October 23, 2019.

Work will be completed by 7:30 AM.

Planned Monthly System Maintenance

Effective 2 days from now: On October 24, starting at 8:00 p.m., University Systems will be performing planned maintenance on a number of administrative systems. This maintenance will result in a 60-90 minute scheduled outage of several enterprise applications. System maintenance windows are available here: https://www.uvic.ca/systems/status/monthlypatching/maintenance/index.php

SharePoint Application recycle (Completed)

Effective 28 minutes ago: To resolve a 3rd party certificate issue, the application pool for that service will be recycled. This does not impact any SharePoint services functionality and no client impact is expected.

The Informed will be updated once the work has been completed.

***COMPLETED*** Service has been updated and recycled, SharePoint Services operating normally.

NETDRIVE Maintenance: Thursday, Oct. 24th @ 11:00PM

Effective date: October 25, 2019 at 06:00:00 am(3 days from now)

Effective 3 days from now: We will be performing routine maintenance on NETDRIVE beginning at 11:00pm on Thursday, October 24, 2019. The work should be completed by midnight.

During the maintenance the server will be restarted and the following services will be affected:

- all SMB/CIFS shares beginning with \netdrive
- all SMB/CIFS shares beginning with \uvicstorage
- all MacOS volumes served from netdrive.uvic.ca

Therefore, please avoid using those services during the maintenance window. If you can't avoid using the services, save your work often to minimize the possibility of losing work in progress.

Effective 3 days from now: We will be performing routine maintenance on the UVIC and OAK Active Directory Domain Controllers beginning at 11:00PM on Thursday, October 24, 2019. The work should be completed by Midnight.

There is no anticipated interruption in service and no action is required on your part. This message is just to let you know the work is being performed.
