Update: Scheduled rsfshares (CIFS) migration Wednesday Feb 22 @16:00

Effective 12 hours from now: We will be migrating the rsfshares service to new hardware tomorrow evening (Feb 22) starting at 16:00. During the final sync the data on rsfshares will continue to be accessible but read-only. Thursday morning at 9:00am we will open access to the new share which will be accessible as rsfshare.uvic.ca and we will keep read-only client access to the original share for 2 weeks after the migration.

GEN1P Mysql update Feb 21, 17:30 COMPLETE

The mysql installation on gen1p.mysql.uvic.ca will be patched February 21 at 1730. The outage will be less than 10 minutes, but all hosted databases will be unavailable during that time.

SAS Production Upgrade and Migration, Thu 23-Feb-2017, 9:30am - 5:30pm

Effective date: February 23, 2017 at 09:30:00 am(1 day from now)

Effective 1 day from now: SAS Production, including the SAS Portal sas.uvic.ca and the SAS Metadata Server sasmeta.uvic.ca will be migrated to new servers and an upgraded version on Thursday February 23rd, starting at 9:30am. The upgrade will take up to 8 hours to complete.

During the migration, SAS will be unavailable for all users.

Custom reports created prior to February 2nd have already been migrated to the new environment. If you have any custom reports in the current SAS environment that were created after February 2nd, please let us know the names of the custom reports at ptsadmin@uvic.ca and we will assist you in migrating your reports to the new server.

This message will be updated when the migration is complete and SAS is available again.

Network Maintenance - TRU BCP site
