Effective 2 hours ago: *UPDATE* Work in CW46 was all completed on Thursday Oct. 19 so nothing further is required on Oct. 20

Network Services will be moving power supplies in EDC2 from current connections to permanent PDUs. Equipment connected to these power supplies have redundant connections so there will be no outages.

Work is scheduled to begin at 7:00am and will be completed by 8:00am.

Outage of banner job submission process Oct 24, 2017 - 1800

Effective 4 days from now: The banner job submission process will be interrupted on Oct 24 at 1800 to make some server side updates. This outage is expected to last approximately one hour. There will be no impact to any other portion of banner (INB/SSB, etc) other than processes that use job submission or oracle pipes.

Currently there is an issue with sending email to recipients from some of UVic outbound mail servers. These outbound mail servers have gotten onto the hotmail block list for sending spam.

UVic Systems is working to remove our mail servers from hotmail's block list

The change that was put in yesterday, will help prevent this from occurring in the future.
