Software
This room uses the general Windows lab software and general Mac lab software set as a baseline.
Software in computer labs changes frequently. We add, remove and update apps several times a year, usually based on course requirements. This page only lists software that's part of our standard build, which remains relatively consistent from one term to the next. You can search all software currently installed in labs using AllSight.

Layout
Presenting
This room has a non-standard AV system. It's similar to a general classroom AV system with touchscreen controls except that:
- there are 2 projectors (1 at each end of the room)
- you can control the 2 projectors independently
- 4 auxiliary displays (large TVs mounted to the walls along the sides)
- the aux. displays always mirror projector 1
- there's no document camera
- the "AUX" input source is a USB-C cable
Booking
Instructors and staff can book this room for courses, workshops and other events.
The two group work tables can be booked by students when the room isn't reserved. These tables are great for group work and practicing presentations. They are not separate rooms, so others may be working nearby.
- You must be a current UVic student to book this space
- Bookings for this space are managed through MS Bookings
- Food and beverages are not permitted
See our student booking page for booking instructions and full service guidelines.
Support
If you’re having problems with lab equipment, software, or the space, please see a staff member at the support desk located in the room.
