Teaching lab booking

Our primary purpose is to provide computer lab space for teaching and learning, so we prioritize academic bookings. There are 14 teaching labs available for bookings by UVic instructors and department staff.

Before you book

We make our best efforts to accommodate all booking requests that meet our scheduling requirements. Because our labs host a variety of activities, we recommend booking your course or event as early as possible. 

Here is a brief summary of our booking procedure and policies.

Book your room

If you are already familiar with the teaching labs or don't have a room preference, you can proceed to your booking request.

Academic use includes:

  • Lectures
  • Labs
  • Tutorials
  • Midterms and final exams

Non-academic use includes:

  • Continuing Studies and other non-credit courses
  • Staff training and technology demos
  • Data collection for researchers
  • UVic-sponsored workshops and community events

You can also submit a booking request directly from a teaching lab page. We will do our best to accommodate all requests but can't guarantee room availability.

Schedule changes and cancellations

If your booking time or date changes, please notify as soon as possible. Our staff will work to accommodate the new time, which may require moving other classes and notifying other instructors. Last minute requests will result in staffing fees.

If you no longer need your booking, please notify as soon as possible so we can free up the space in the schedule.
