Economics Assistant Professor, Dr. Tao Wang was selected as an "Elected Member" of International Statistical Institute (ISI) (https://isi-web.org/article/congratulations-newly-elected-members-fourth-round-2025), one of the most prestigious global organizations founded in 1885 that is committed to advancing the understanding, development, and responsible practice of statistics and data science worldwide.

Election to the ISI is a significant honor that recognizes individuals who have made notable contributions to the statistical and data sciences through impactful research, teaching, leadership and service. Elected membership is not automatically granted; candidates are nominated and reviewed by a panel of experts, making this recognition a mark of high distinction and professional achievement in the field.
