Economics tutoring

Do you need help with your course work?

You should first go to your instructor and teaching assistant (TA). TAs are graduate students hired to help instructors. It’s their job to help prepare course material, grade assignments, conducting labs and hold office hours to help.

If you’re registered in ECON 103 or ECON 104 you can go to the Help Centre in BEC 341. It’s run by TAs and hours vary each term. Check the schedule posted outside the room.

Course-related forms are processed by different offices:

  • The Department of Economics
  • The Academic Advising Office
  • The Office of the Registrar

Reid Elliott Reading Room

The Reid Elliott Reading Room (BEC 311) is a place for you to study, meet other students and get help from ECU tutors.

Graduate computer lab

We have a dedicated computing facility (BEC 317) to meet course and research requirements of our graduate students.

TA & graduate student office space

We offer shared office space for our first-year MA and PhD students as well as teaching assistants and research assistants. Office space is not guaranteed for MA students after their first year.
