Find your edge in UVic's Faculty of Science.

Why study science at UVic?

Our instructors don't just teach theory—they bring their research experience into the classroom. You'll see how the concepts you're learning can be applied to problems like diseases and climate change and leave UVic with the skills that make our grads some of the world's most employable

UVic's small classes and tight-knit community mean that you'll get to know your professors and classmates. And you'll get the support and resources you need to succeed. Our many combined degrees and concentrations let you tailor your program so that you can study what you want.

Fall 2020

Welcome back to all Science students! This Fall most of our undergraduate classes will be online and most graduate level courses will be in person. There are a few exceptions in the Faculty of Science.

If you have questions about your degree, get in touch with Academic Advising.

Are you an incoming first-year student? Find a list of resources and a recording of our June 30 virtual forum.

Learn in the lab and out in the field

Once you are back on campus, you can put what you're learning into practice with co-op work terms, field courses and the honours program. These hands-on opportunities are a few of the ways you can challenge yourself and reinforce what you've learned in the classroom.
