Salish Sea Hub Graduate Scholarship
One or more scholarships of at least $1,000 each are awarded to academically outstanding graduate students in the Geography department pursuing or conducting community-based research that addresses any of the 46 articles outlined in the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UN DRIP) and/or the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Preference is given to Indigenous applicants.
Approval of the recipients is made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon the recommendation of the Department of Geography.

Eligibility
Normally, the minimum requirement for consideration is an A- average and any additional criteria that has been established by the donor. Awards are assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units. Unless otherwise noted in the award description, you must be a full-time graduate student.
Retaining funding
Ongoing UVic graduate funding requires students to maintain a minimum level of academic standing and some ongoing maintenance.
