Bachelor of Education - Elementary Curriculum
Do you dream of guiding young children through their first school years? This four-year program will prepare you for a career full of purpose and impact, guiding and providing an enriching environment to support the development of young learners.
Field experience
The transition from student to teacher can feel like a big jump. In this program, you'll have many opportunities to practice teaching with support from mentors and field advisers. Get immersed in real classroom environments, where you'll get a chance to observe and shadow experienced teachers as you build confidence and develop your skills.
When a UVic teacher candidate steps into classroom as a part of their Link2Practice / Practicum experience, we see such an incredible energy shift in the room. While the teacher candidate grows their skills and confidence in the classroom environment, the students also benefit immensely from new methods, fresh approaches, and another trusted adult committed to serving their learning community.

Practicum
Test-drive your teaching skills during practicum, where you'll build confidence through hands-on classroom leadership experiences.
Benefit from strong local partnerships, a dedicated support team and a growth-oriented environment that empowers you to thrive as an aspiring educator.
