McPherson Library: Bookdrop is located on the outside wall to the right of the main entrance. 

Priestly Library: No after hours book return available.

Microforms 

Course reserves 

Integrated into BrightSpace (UVic’s learning management system for students).  

Instructors can email reserves@uvic.ca for support or refer to the instructors’ instructors' guide to course reserves. 

Physical reserve items are shelved on the main floor of the McPherson Library behind the Ask Us Desk. Print materials for law courses can be found at the Priestly Library.

The Learning Commons is located on the main floor of the McPherson Library. Partner websites are listed below. They contain information about hours, drop-in services, and workshops. 

Generative AI guidelines 

At UVic, the instructor decides what is permissible and how AI tools may be used in the classroom. The advice is always to "ask your instructor/check your syllabus." Any usage must be "with permission of instructor." Any usage must also be cited and in keeping with UVic’s overall Academic Integrity Policy.
